A small studio, deliberately

MarketKit was founded in 2019 by three marketers who kept watching good strategies die in agency handoffs. So we built the agency where the handoff never happens.

The story

Built around one stubborn rule

The person who plans your strategy works on your account. Every week, for as long as we work together. That single rule shapes everything else about MarketKit: why we cap the client roster, why there is no separate “pitch team”, and why our retention runs above 90%.

Today we are a team of fourteen — strategists, media buyers, writers, designers and analysts — working from Bukit Bintang with clients across Malaysia and Singapore. Big enough to run a full growth engine, small enough that you know everyone touching your account by name.

How we choose to work

Four principles we do not negotiate

Outcomes over output

We report on revenue, pipeline and payback — not on how many posts went out. If an activity cannot be traced to a commercial outcome, we question why it is in the plan.

Bad news travels fastest

Failed experiment? Missed forecast? You hear it from us first, with our read on why and what changes. Trust is built in the uncomfortable weeks, not the victory laps.

You own everything

Accounts, audiences, creative, documentation. If we part ways, you keep the machine we built together — and the keys were yours the whole time.

Local depth, regional reach

Campaigns in Bahasa Malaysia and English, planned around Malaysian festivals, paydays and platforms — with playbooks that extend across Southeast Asia when you are ready.

The numbers

Nineteen twenty-six days of shipped work

Since 2019 we have partnered with 68 brands, managed upwards of RM40 million in media spend, and published more than two thousand pieces of client content. Retail, F&B, education, professional services, property, logistics, beauty — if Malaysians buy it, we have probably marketed it.

What we have never done: locked a client into a long contract, marked up media in the dark, or presented a case study the client had not signed off. Small studio, long memory — reputation is the only moat an agency really has.
